My name is Usman Khalid, but you can call me Uzzy. I’m a 29-year-old gay “brown boy” navigating this big wide world from my studio apartment in Washington, D.C. I was born in Lahore, Pakistan and my family and I made our way to the states when I was about 3 or 4 years old, lived in Jersey in a house with my entire family (aunts, uncles, cousins, basically everyone), until my parents, two older brothers, and I settled down in northern Virginia.
I work in federal IT project management in Washington D.C., and in my spare time, I like to write...a lot. I came out to my conservative Muslim family a couple of years ago, and I’ve got a lot of stuff to work through, so why not do it in front of other people?
I love to laugh and make people laugh. I’m into music, photography, and my nieces and nephews are my everything.
