Roshni Kamta

Roshni Kamta is a proud Surinamese woman who was raised in Pennsylvania but currently lives on the Upper West Side. She graduated from Rutgers University in May 2018 with a degree in Communication and Information. Currently, she works as a media planner and is the NYC lead for Boss Women Collective, a community focused on creating an environment to connect women of various career paths and promote inclusivity that celebrates its members’ professional growth. In April 2019, Roshni was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in which she endured 16 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy. Through her experience she wants to destigmatize what being a cancer patient is and educate young women to not be afraid to advocate for their health.
